What are the symptoms of a malfunctioning tcc release circuit switch?

2003 chevy impala...3.4l...130,000 miles...check engine light on and auto part store ran a diagnostic and it said the malfunctioning tcc release circuit switch...the employee said it could be stuck or it might need replacing.
