My new fish isn't swimming around a lot or eating, what should I do?

About 3 days ago I got a baby blood parrot cichlid. I have a small aquarium, but it's the perfect size for the fish right now. But ever since I got the fish it's been sitting on the bottom in the same spot, only moving occasionally, and it's not eating either. Before we got the fish we did let the water set for a few hours to get the water temperature right, but water conditioner in it and let the fish rest in the water while it was still in the bag. I'm not sure what's wrong and I don't want my fish to die so is there anything I can do to help it? thank you
