Does this seem a bit excessive? Keeshond puppy?

So we have these two Kesshond puppies, one male, one female. They are litter mates and are about 8 1/2 months old. We just recently weighed them and our female weighs 33 pounds, while our male weighs 51 pounds!! He is a big dog, with a large head (or maybe it just looks that way with all the fur), but when you feel his body it is not fat that makes him as heavy as he is. The two puppies are very active and constantly playing, so they are both all muscle. But does the male seem too large for a Keeshond, being 51 pounds at only 8 1/2 months?
